Harrogate Nova reliability ride, got there on time to discover all the groups had gone. Set off with a few others and got passed by the Paul Milnes junior team after a couple of minutes and didn't stay with them as they speeded up the hill. Got some good speed on the road through Kirkby Overblow to Wetherby and caught back up with the lads and a few others. Sat on and worked in this group for the next couple of hours. Picked up some more riders in Wetherby although the pace dropped a bit up the side of the A1. Once we turned onto the hills the effort picked up and a half of the group was jettisoned. I kept working hard but was dropped on the steep climb up to Hebden Bank, though caught back up as the group got paused for a bit at the junction. Carried on doing turns all the way to Pennypot Lane where I got dropped as a car came between our group on the roundabout, and the legs gave up after putting a big effort in to catch back on (which I failed to do).
Not a bad effort for first ride outside in a couple of weeks, back to full training next week.

Wanted to see if I could cope with some efforts before tomorrow's group ride. Did a couple of 10-min steady efforts which were fine, although HR was a bit higher than usual.
