Saturday Sep 1

Orienteering (Coaching) 3:00:00 [2]
PAPO camp at liethfield. Put out controls for the orange exercise. Unfourtunately we didnt have the updated map so some were supposed to be in an area which was shitty and overgrown, so mucked around for ages before giving up on that part since I couldnt figure out where to put the controls. Then took a group of kids around the course, a compass thing and a relocation exercise. Almost had a few convinced it'd be a good idea to run to woodend. Lastly, picked up controls.

So much for a rest day, back to brighton to look for my compass and home again
Note
Spent about probably over an hour wandering around collecting controls and searching in vain. Found suspicious brown goo (most definatetly sewage) oozing out of a hole in the ground where it shouldnt have been but no compass.

out to south brighton for training, got very lost

Putting out controls for training. Used my compass once to check a control and lost it, crap. Cant afford to lose a compass.

Wednesday Aug 29

Run hills 1:19:00 [3]
Run up port hills with Erin. Climbed up from bowenvale carpark, round to old dyers pass, and then back through vic park. Erin killed me on the climb but apart from that it was a good run.

Tuesday Aug 28

Wicked ride today with Alex. Out to the hills and then went up rapaki around the traverse track all in cloud and then down through heaps of tracks in victoria park to bownvale vally and then back home. Awesome day. Lovin the downhill and the empty tracks. Amazing how good they still are, i guess theres been hardley any rain

Cruse out to bottle lake and back. Went early so that had no wind going out there and good tail wind back. sweet

5 3min intervals on terrain at bottle lake. Was feeling fast

Run round the streets after work.

Out to styx mill and back to check ou the area I mapped off google earth. Is ok and surprisingly accurate. fixed it up a little bit and now will pass as a map i think. Probably too small an area to use properly and the one very small sign saying please keep to the tracks will have to be ignored...
