Nice evening run with dave, through GI grassy parks, st johns, Waiatarua, back through GI & pt england. Feeling really good.

Saturday Dec 15

Running 2:33:00 [3]
Waitaks run - with mark, jager & greta
Awesome run from Bethells, up the big sand dune, round the lake, up Houghtons track, Smythe ridge track, upper kauri then bak again. What wicked tracks, so nice to run and some good climb. I reckon Houghtons track has gotta be my new fav track in the waitaks, gotta go bak and do that one.
Running 1:03:31 [3]
Lovely evening run around tahuna torea, out on the sandspit, churchill park.

Friday Dec 14

Swimming 40:00 [3]
Staying away from running today to try and let the patella tendon settle down. Nice being in the pool, shame im all weak and swimming like a retard.

Thursday Dec 13

Strength Training 20:00 [3]
Came in early before work, but realised that i dont really get much done cos 5am is a bit early, so might move these till after work next time.
Running 1:20:47 [3]
Down through the GI reserves upto the pony club, along kepa bush track, bastion point along the beaches, back home through dingle dell. Real hot and sweaty running at lunchtime.
Running warm up/down 30:00 [2]
Running intervals 12:42 [4]
A little speed session for variety. 7 x 200m reps at grass track Glover Park. Legs feeling a bit heavy, hammy not playing nice and right patella tendon kinda sore. Still fun doing fast stuff though.
34, 33, 33, 32, 32, 31, 30 with 200m jog recoveries, nice night and not as humid as last few days.
Note
Saw physio again today, no real answers/resolutions as per usual. Just gotta continue icing etc...blahblahblah

Wednesday Dec 12

Swimming 35:00 [3]
Really nice swim, had the entire lane to myself :)
Running 44:34 [3]
I got caught up helping out santa clause and kinda lost track of time! Was supposed to be a long run, naughty james. But maybe it was a blessing in disguise cos my right patella tendon is flaring up again, so iced and antiflammed it, im seeing physio 2moro, hopefully we can fix it quick!

Tuesday Dec 11

Running 59:43 [3]
Knee heaps better, a little sore, but no longer painful :) Went down around tahuna torea, churchill park, dingle dell back home.
Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]
Running intervals 30:00 [5]
5 x hill reps from railway upto museum steps
2.17, 2.16, 2.14, 2.09, 2.05
Knee all good, surprised to be able to go faster on each rep, so im pretty happy.

Monday Dec 10

Running 1:04:21 [3]
(injured)
Knee still hurting lots, but i was getting bored not running, so i took a couple of pain killers and went for an easy run along the tamaki river. Knee was painful for the first half hour, but seemed to subside as i kept going. Avoided any hills as this seemed to aggrevate it more.
