| Feeling pretty run down from yesterday, didnt really wanna go running. Head wasn't in it, started off crap, got messed up after the wrong controls #5 and #6 and lost map contact, spending too much energy being angry......grrrr.....completely muffed up #8. Tried focusing again, #9 was good, then missed read #10, lost another 2mins grrrr.......Blew #14 not able to make sense of the map, but apart from that was ok nav wise. Completely broken physically thou. |

| Felt horrible, no speed or strength. Pretty easy nav until #12, it all turned to custard, got lost in some extra contours that werent mapped. Real annoying cos i attacked the leg well, and was very close to the control the entire time, but dropped about 3mins searching through boxthorn. Played with a bit more boxthorn on route to #14, pretty sweet for rest of course. But way off the pace in the end. Guess the cold affected me more than i thought :( |

| Sprint race at Night! Massey Campus
Still not feeling good, slow and no speed, but it was pretty hard to run fast at night. Started off okay (bit confused by strange mapping at #2), caught up Jamie, got completely thrown by wrong mapping at #6, lost heaps of time, then started following jamie and soon realised he missing out #7, i finally realised, ran down the bank, missed the control, ran back to #6 and did the leg again! Was reso okay for rest of course but a bit scratchy through #11, 17 and 19. Again, way off the pace. |

| Tried a morning run to loosen the legs and snot out the cold, felt alright for the first 4mins, then it became real hard work and was bearly moving by the end. |

| Wicked run from Whakatane around the bush walkway to Ohope, mint sunset! Body getting smacked by this cold, had no strength up the hills. |

| Couldnt handle sitting down doing nothing for another day, especially cos the weather was so good today. Unfortunately didnt get running till it was real dark. Went upto the top of the Mount (was a bit sketchy in the dark for a first timer) but choice view from the top. Then went along the beach for a bit. |

| 4 x 5min reps along the beach at the mount. Body wasnt feeling super fast or strong, but gave it a good nudge. Was real different doing reps in the sand, quite a different technique. Generally a pretty good session, except on a couple of occassions i kinda drifted off into a daydream and dropped the intensity (without anyone running next to me, and i was the only one on the beach, so was kinda staring at the stars and the surf a bit too much) |

| Got a real sore throat, i sense a cold coming on, super tired from lack of sleep and lots of travel, so thought i better give the body a rest. |
