Feeling better today, nice morning, so went for a lovely little jog around pt england loop.
Running 1:42:52 [3]
Waitaks run with Tom Thumb
Awesome day for it, the tracks werent muddy at all! Went up upper kauri, along smythe ridge, got a bit confused with which track we wanted, turned around and down sissam, over to fenceline and back to cascades. Didnt feel so great to start with, then hammy started playing up again...grrr.
Got better after 40min, then we did a couple of efforts on the hills. Lungs didnt know what hit them, legs werent too bad though. Cool run, glad i did it :)

Head cold even worse. Woke up in the middle of the night with mega headache. managed to get 11hours sleep but still felt horrible in the morning :(

Wednesday Jun 4

Running 1:03:25 [3]
(sick)
Feeling pretty crap today, real bad head cold, cough etc....
Really didnt want to do nothing, so went for a cruisy run from accom up to Spa park and along the waikato river. Choice run, shame i was feeling so awful! Got dark real quick, so turned back just in time. Was feeling ok for the first 30min, then started feeling real bad for the last half :(

Tuesday Jun 3

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]
Running intervals 24:26 [5]
(sick)
Feeling sick again after a weekend of tough racing, and too much travel :(
Still tried doing the session - 10 hill reps behind grandstand (carlton gore rd). Started off easy, cos the carrot cake wasnt quite settled yet. Lacking a bit of power, but i guess thats expected being sick in combitnation with coming off a big race wknd. Was pretty consistant which was good.
41, 41, 40, 39, 38, 39, 38, 39, 39, 39.
Body feeling a bit weird afterwards, lemsip and drugs will hopefully make tommorrow better :)
Note
Just compared times with previous session (12th march) and was running a touch faster across the entire session. Pretty happy cos i wasnt feeling that good. Also better consistancy compared to 19th June last year.......Good sign :) Now i just need a couple of good weeks before Norway!

Monday Jun 2

Orienteering race 1:22:29 [5]
(sick)
Feeling much better, not quite 100% though. Started off alright, until #7, attacked control well, came out onto coast exactly where i wanted (but did get a bit stuck in the fight) went to the ridge with the control on it, but didnt get the control. Got completely confused trying to relocate as the contours weren't the best mapped. Ran away for ages trying to find something to relocate off, 9mins of being lost the leg took me over 14min, game over! Kept going through the rest of the course, only loosing small amounts later on.
