STB Race 5 - The West Side
Lost my mind as I started off too fast. Found a quick route, but then lost map contact and got completely confused as I lined up parallel areas. The Jourdan came through, and I finally figured out what was going on. Caught back up to him, then ran with Jourdan for the remainder of the course, swapping the lead as various points. Lost time around 14-16, but generally im just not fast enough!

STB Race 6 - EIT
Forgot to punch the start box, and got a bit panicked. A few hesitations and some weak route choices, but generally an ok run. Caught up Brent near the end, and Toby caught us up too. Lacking aggression once again, need to find my orienteering mojo again, cos it sucks doing so poorly!

STB Race 2 - Te Aute College
A bit hesitant on #1, loosing a few secs. Too low on #2, then too cautious on #3. Didnt attack #4 enough, and ran past the control loosing 30secs. Didnt run out to the open fast enough for #5. Reso good through the rest of it, but didnt have good flow through the buildings at the end. I find it hard pushing fast when in the wet conditions. I slipped a bit at one control, but overall I lacked aggression.

STB Race 3 - Pukeora Hill
Started out ok, missed a few secs on #1, and missed a good gap on #3. Went ok through to 9, but missed the easy route to #10 and then #11. Brain totally escaped me after #13, and I basically stopped navigating as I ran down the hill. Then started going to #15 before getting #14! Fucktard! Race pretty much over at this point. Tried to catch up to Jamie (who ran past me during my mistake), but didnt really have much speed. Caught up to him after #18, but then started following him, instead of navigating myself. Got completely lost, and had no control. Panicked, fumbled, got caught by bryn. Frickin useless.

STB Race 4 - Sleeping Giant (Te Mata Peak)
Too apprehensive from the start. Pussy footed round to 1, should have attacked the hill earlier. Muffed 2 a little and got dragged to the left. Missed a gap down to 3, and ran further than i needed too. Wasnt following the map into #4, and completely ran past it loosing 30secs. Missed the good route to #, then fluffed about for 8 and 9. Struggled reading the map 11-14 and lacked aggression. Couldnt stay upright on the way to #15, just slipped the entire way and map got covered in mud. Couldnt make sense of the map through the next controls 16-20 and lost heaps of time. Pussy footed down through to 24. So far behind.................

STB Race 1 - Frimley
Ran reso well, with a couple of small hesitations. Didnt execute one of the route choices well. Running too slow, so a fair bit down the results :( Might be a bit jaded from lack of sleep, stress at work and travel down to HB.

Waitaks run with twiddle
Started from filter station, up east tunnel track, down anderson, along tramline, past dam, along fenceline, ridge road, cutty grass, old coach rd, back to filter station. Knees still a bit iffy, especially after the run. Nice night for it, was feeling pretty avg for the most of it, but seemed to get better near the end.

Summer Series - Carrington
The courses on offer were shit, so made up a sprint course that was a bit more challenging and fun. Legs were really used to this type of running, and was quite rusty with the nav as well. GOod little hit out before the weekend. Except I was quite slow in comparison to the others :(

Summer Series - Carrington Course 3
Did a little mass start afterwards. Missed #2, by 10-15 secs. Apart from that okay, but dont have much speed in the legs due to the lack of speed work.

Knees a bit sore from the weekend, so did some cross training instead. Did 30mins of a mixture of cardio equipment. Then 30mins strength training, mainly just upper body stuff.
