Orienteering race 32:50 [5] 5.7 km (5:46 / km)

Cool. Cool. Cool.
(apart from the crazy things this race does to sleep and eating patterns, although that may just add to the atmosphere...)
Got up at about 2:30am by Jules because the race was going ridiculously faster than predicted. oh well. Was a little concerned about having to go out in the dark but that ended up not being the case. Managed to catch the end of leg 4 (long night) just as i got up (yup, web tv running all the time at our accomodation...) to see Erik come in after making up a bit of time. I think he was quickest by 2 minutes on the leg which was the same for everyone. Headed out to the event to get there before 4am, saw Thomas come in and Jules go out just as it looked like it was getting light. Actually felt quite good before I went out (having scraped together about 6 hrs of sleep/rest). My leg was fun, nice and short and not that difficult really, due to the fact that we had to have a decent amount of dead running across the meadow, over the bridge and in the finish. Navigated well, only wasting small amounts of time occasionally. Managed to run through some teams too which was a good feeling.
Malungs ended up 18th after a great run by David on last leg (the other non-split leg) where he was fastest by about 2 minutes, and running on his own. So all in all pretty good, although I think the team had the potential to run better.
