My foot hurt at the start, but then it was fine. I was so excited to actually get a good session done without my injury stopping me, so this was really fun!

it is freeeeezing today and its really annoying cuz our house has no source of heating at all so i have to walk around like an eskimo in gloves and a beanie.
i did some strength exercises today but i dont know if that really counts as training

orienteering race (ACT Long dist champs) 45:54 [5] 4.8 km (9:34 / km)
was a pretty short course for the "long" distance...but anyway. i had a pretty good run, afew small mistakes but was pretty happy (definately better than yesterday, that was shocking!)

my foot/injury was hurting warming up so i was abit worried..but then it was fine during the race and warming down (i really dont get it, maybe it just had to warm up???) so i guess i'll just see how it goes, its kind of annoying hanging around like it is

this was at honeysuckle creek, where visability is really bad due to the thickness. anyway, i went pretty badly and kept getting really close to controls, but leaving again cuz i couldn't see the feature. so i am really annoyed at my result. =(

i was off on near;y every control....so i didn't have a very good run at all! it was fun though AND my foot only hurt in the warm up! YAY!

felt bad about not doing any training (cuz my injury has been playing up) so i did some strength stuff....and kind of killed myself cuz i was really sore after (and on thursday)

this was really bad - my foot was feeling abit dodge so i stopped early. reeeaaally frustrating -why isn't it all better!!

It was really weird cuz i did this in the evening after my bad terrain run and my foot felt fine - until about half way through the intervals when i noticed it was starting to hurt so i stopped
So now I am really annoyed GRRRR!!!

today wasn't so good as my damn injury was hurting abit as i ran, which it has been during the last few days. so i decided it was better to be safe than sorry and i didn't do the next exercise

went out waaay too hard (prob cuz it was mostly downhill) so got really tired and made afew silly mistakes, but was fairly happy with my run

ran up and around Black Mountain afew times, my lower calves got SO tight at first but i stretched them then they were ok. it was actually really fun!

I just couldn't get enthused for a proper swim today, for some reason it was more boring than usual
oh, and I have spoken to a physio and she says my injury aching is normal and nothing to worry about..phew!!

I was abit sloppy and couldnt really get into it until the end, I think cuz i was feeling tired and heavy. but it was still fun and was a really nice day =)

rode up stromlo on the road (awesome views from the top) and then basically just around abit of canberra. was fun cuz my mum came and we had a good goss

running tempo (Time Trial) 11:52 [5] 3 km (3:57 / km)
Did this around Deeks Track at stromlo (grassy and undulating track)
I knew i would be slower than my pb but wasn't sure what time to expect, dissapointed cuz it was 20secs slower, although it wasnt on a flat track and the surface is quite soft...but STILL it was kinda depressing to see how i'd gone backwards

hate to say this but my foot (injury) is aching during the day. its fine when i run but this is worrying me...

this included 15mins of pool running.
it wasnt so monotonous this time cuz i entertained myself by doing each interval in a different lane (i had the whole pool to myself). it must have looked abit weird but it was better than staying in the same lane!

yay i actually managed a proper run!!! and my foot felt fine! it was pretty slow and i didn't feel that great but that didn't matter, i was just happy to be running anywhere

Friday Apr 4

some 1km intervals. wanted to do them on the criterium at stromlo but there were pro's on it so the first few were lousy cuz I had to do them on a crappy track which wasn't long enough (so i had to keep quickly turning around and falling out of my cleats). Then the pro's left so it was all good!

Foot is still feeling good, except for where i burnt it on the ice pack.

haha...stupid little school "cross country" which i didn't try in but still won out of the classes that were doing it.

was suposed to bike ride today BUT my helmet was gone (my MOTHER took it) and daylight was running out (plus i really wanted to run) so i swapped that for tomorrow.
these hills were pretty slow, i wasnt trying to push myself too much. foot felt fine so far....hopefully it wasnt stupid of me to jump into so much running too soon
