did a chasing start with the blue lightning people, it was fun!
i did ok, but was really slow in the bit in the middle, on account of it being up hill and my stupid calves got very very sore.... =(

warm down collecting marker things, felt tired and navigation was shocking!

was going out to do hill intervals...but was a lazy ass and just did a hilly run, surging the hills. calves were very tight!

did it with one of the courses my mum has set me on the JWOC long map...it looks scary!!!

I did this all in the dark (with a headlight) so it was kinda scary, but cool to see all the lightning over black mountain =)

schools selection trials at felled timbers sort of place, felt ok, tired on the uphills. pretty clean run.

warm up, then went out to do some more after the race but i felt stuffed so just ran easy on the tracks for a while

this run also included about 40mins of terrain running (some at the start and some at the end). i think i under estimated the time it would take me to run back home...cuz i took me a lot longer! and it was probably too long for what i was suposed to do, but i was in a physco mood so i kept running
felt bad to begin with, but then it was ok.

running race 15:54 [5] 4 km (3:58 / km) vdot: 49.4
the garmin actually measured this as 4.2 but it may be wrong...
anyhoo, it was ASC cross country champs (so canberra private schools) at Deeks track at stromlo (grass, some undulations). i came second to the ACT champion in the open division, and it was annoying cuz she only overtook me in the last 50m and I had nothing left. but still it was a good race, and i beat the girl i wanted to aswell =)

at majura pines, was pretty fun, but i just felt so slow
calves are ok, i wore my skins for like all of yesterday and last night so maybe some of the fancy compression stuff has done something

Event: Sun Coast Classic & WOC Selection Trials

time is training before the event, warming up for the event and time on the course (what I did of it), then running again afterwards. i dunno how long each took, thats just what my watch said.
this morning was SO ANNOYING! during the short training before the event my calves got really tight, so then i got a pre-race massage from my mum =). but then during the race they got really really excruciatingly painfully tight and i seriously couldnt run anymore. anyhoo, it was annoying cuz we were doing a chasing start and it was fun =(
so now i am stretching like a maniac so their better for tonight....i dunno why they should be so tight

went to do the course backwards, then decided i didn't want to do all of it again, so i went to the other side of the map (where the hardest bit of the course was), saw a freaky fox/wild dog/scary thing that was looking at me and not running away so I got scared and ran away.

i have officially reached the conclusion that my foot/injury does not like short, fast intervals (like the ones I did yesterday). cuz every time after i've done them in the past few weeks my calves have gotten really tight, and my injury has gotten sore. SO i guess i wont be doing any more of them!
Therefore, I took a rest day today cuz my foot/injury was abit sore from yesterday!!! GRRRRR

my legs felt like lead for the first 30 mins, but then i miraculously recovered and felt pretty good. did it on the bike trails at stromlo, so it was fun =)

on deeks track (soft grass with undulations) with my brother. felt alright, and it was good to have someone to push me abit (but i did beat him by about half a metre =) )
i have no idea wether this is a decent time...i hope so!

rode up stromlo on the road (there was a nasty cold headwind) and intended to ride around a bit on the dirt tracks but it got dark - which was really annoying cuz i left basically as soon as i got off the bus from school...grrrrr

i felt really weird today, i was all dizzy and faint at school then had a massive headache and felt exhausted when i got home. it was really strange and kinda scary....so i moved my swim to friday instead so i wouldn't faint and drown while i was swimming

we went to mt clear...and it is not clear anymore. it was suposed to be a "long" course (dunno how far) but it was too scrappy underfoot so i cut it short. i think i ran out of energy at about number 2, so the rest of the course was a struggle cuz i was feeling so tired (and i was running really slowly)
Because the terrain was pretty bad (and the map was made 25 years ago) it wasn't very enjoyable..but it was a nice day!!!

Another short "sprint" at felled timbers. this was fun too but for some reason i felt really tired (maybe cuz I was really hungry before we started) so i kept making silly mistakes. hopefully i'll be ok for tonights night-o my mum has set me
