Stretching and a bit of core
Lots of uni work to do, so didn't have time to do much else. Hopefully will be able to do a ride tomorrow - elbow is still not great after my stack at the first NOL and trying to extend it too far really hurts....

Easter Day 3. First half of the course felt like it was uphill to me, and my legs were super tired and calves super tight so it was a struggle and I wasn't enjoying it....but then the course started going downhill and it was sweet haha! Felt like I was actually racing properly in the second half, which I don't feel I have done in an orienteering race for at least a year. So that was a good way to finish Easter!

My results haven't been very good over the whole weekend, but I feel like I've come a long way since the end of last year, so am really satisfied. Also - no troubles with my shin!! :D

Easter day 2 - the long race! Feeling a bit apprehensive at the start as I'd been told it was going to be really tough and an epic, and I don't have much confidence in my fitness at the moment...anyway, went out slowly and navigated very carefully so I wouldn't make any mistakes. Managed to navigate pretty well the whole way (prob cuz I was only going slowly haha), but should have been much more aggressive and smooth if I'd wanted to get a better result.
Anyway, not to worry as I'm only aiming to have fun this year - and I did enjoy this!

Easter day 1
Cool map! It was really fun, but I had a frustrating run with a lot of small ~20sec mistakes. Plus one larger one at number 5 in the green when I just missed it. Was trying to run too fast and wasn't in control...Gah!
Wore my spikes for the first time in prob more than a year and all was fine so that was good!

Easter prologue
Pretty disappointed to be honest, just didn't feel right at the start and never got in a rhythm. Also stuffed up the bush controls - was rushing too much and not looking at my compass. Felt good warming up but legs felt crappy during the race.
This is a pretty negative write up haha...on the plus side I think my pre-race mentality has improved a lot and I feel like im enjoying it more and not feeling as much self-pressure as I used to. Small steps!

Easy run with 6 x ~30sec hard before breaky. Felt pretty good! hoorah!

Did some 20/40s along the river. Felt pretty crappy - dammit!!! Legs better be feeling better on friday (and for the rest of the weekend!)

Strength and Conditioning 20:00 [3]

Some stretching and dynamic stuff to try and loosen the legs.
Elbow still being a bum so was hard to do some exercises.
