Running race 2:00:00 [3] 10.0 km (12:00 / km) +620m 9:10 / km
shoes: Inov8 Mudrocks

Capricorn day 2. My shoes are falling apart so sported some fetching blue tape around them, which promptly fell off en route to number 2. Overtook Sprotty in the master maps, as I have clearly mastered the art of writing numbers next to controls in a matter of days. Parhaps a return to marking up our Elite British maps may be in order? Something for BOF to consider surely.

1st leg straight up bloody Crookstone Knoll and got into control 1 bit behind Mike who then got a more substantial lead into 2 and held it form there. Overcompensated going into 3 so lost more there and took a shitty head-high bracken route to 4 so lost all chance of victory. Shoulda gone round the top. At least Oli and Mike did the same thing.

Spiked the long leg across Kinder and had a massive lead over any chasing runners going acorss below Seal Edge. Then my dibber fell off, I couldnt find it and I retired in a massive boo. No pin punching so couldnt prove Id been to any of the damn controls. Balls balls balls.
No farmers with shotguns today, which was nice.

No prizes for anyone on any class other than the A which is utter bollocks.

Event: Capricorn

Running race 3:30:00 [3] 25.0 km (8:24 / km) +900m 7:07 / km
shoes: Inov8 Mudrocks

Capricorn Day 1. Ran the B cause there were more people I knew on it and I wanted to kick their asses. Mostly did kick their asses today bar Sprotty but was nice to push him close, so at least he had to work for the win overall :) Overshot 3 but apart from that was spot on. Scotland might be a bit harder than pick out something on the skyline, but maybe not...?

Ran solidly, not overly fast but not dawdling although the long drag up Kinder was a right shitter. Was rougher than I expected, but I never really mind tussocks. Legs started cramping big styley after the long leg across the peat bogs, so hobbled the last few km in quite a bit of pain. Found a path through the bracken to the finish and got 10 minutes out of Powell on that leg. Hohoho.

Ate in Little John and camped, which in hindsight was stupid. Sheep in thre Peak District seem to have a much rougher edge to their baahs I noticed at 3 in the morning.

Oh and I caught both feet hurdling a fence and still landed on my feet. Tests to prove Im acually a 12 year female gymnast are unconfirmed.
