| Was feeling awesome, running well, not perfect but flow was good just took a while to get into it - 1:3000 -> 1:15000 was a bit odd for a while but no major issues.
Then... flying down the hill to no8. Ankle made crunchy sound. Lay on the floor for a minute or so thinking SHIT. Dragged self up and tested it hobbling onwards to 8. Was surprised to find eyes were watering. Then adrenaline kicked in and the hobble loosened up into a modest jog for the next 3 or so controls. I was at the far end of the map so having been able to jog out of no8 decided to finish it. Was running almost normally by no12 again but definitely slowed and being extra cautious on route choices thru the rubbish green. Jog/Hobbled from finish to download then Helen gave me an arm over to first aid and I got an Ice pack whacked on it straight away. Just made it over to the car before the hail keeping the ice on and ankle up. Wandered around stone henge in my trainers. Didn't feel too bad. Hoping to get in to see Alex or Lindsay tomorrow morning just to check it's as fine as it feels. Should be ok for BUSA this weekend *fingers crossed*. Oh and was 2nd to Vicky by some very small amount which was probably less than the time I was rolling on the floor crying. | ||

| Prologue. Took it easy, knees were quite sore. Was quite messy navigation, fell for the same blooming inside fence corner as last time. READ the naffin descriptions. Fool. | ||

| Chase. Pushed a bit harder on this one, knees felt fine, just not liking the steps much. Much much cleaner race too. Think it definitely helped being to the previous one as I remembered the cunning little fences. | ||

| Faffed a lot last night so not v good with the sleeping thar. Did a few bits and bats when chance arose but was faffing sorting out the social tops and checking packing and sorting out bike and giving sian money etc etc... Going to do lots after my bath in a sec now. | ||

| meant to be a relaxing pootle over to hope/edale, train to new mills and then home from the station. Only me and fluce (spesh me) are queens of faff. Left half hour late. Missed train at bamford by 15. oops. Decided that in the hour and a half it would take to wait for the train we may as well cycle home. and we were right. I got back just in time for neighbours.
Had my first crash. I'm a real cyclist now. It hurts. Hoping desperately i'm not too messed up to run this weekend now. Rubbish. | ||

Also finally got my saucepan back so i looked really odd running down barber road with a saucepan in one hand, lunchbox in the other. Luckily it literally only took 1min to get back home! woop for downhill! | ||

| Andy Welly planned a lovely long course on Stannington/Burbage as practice for BUSA. Twas a really nice course, beautiful day when I got over the fact it was naffing cold and a bit windy. Neill and James kept dragging me off my line which I really need to stop doing but it was also handy because 1. they provided me some amusement for the long slogs across the over-hip-high heather I was bobbing through and 2 . they kept me going, I actually pretty much kept up with them, though that was more their dodgy lines than running speed. Didn't push it but just bobbed along and it was awesome. Felt really good, specially at the start having not been ready when they went to do a warm up.
Haha just noticed andy's control descriptions... "Massive forking boulders" I hope they're like that at busa!! | ||

| Was still stiff after circuits so went for another tootle round being as it was such a gorgeous day! Started and finish downhill. It was good.
