Hiking (LT/AT) 2:00:00 [2] 3.6 mi (33:20 / mi) +300m 26:29 / mi

Hiking N on the Long Trail for 4 days. Nice supply of comfort food, plus my winter down bag, still at 31# including water. Had to rough it and only brought a half liter of Chardonnay.

Late start easy day.

Note

Yucky day -- 7 hours driving, some in the end of storm Patricai, plus full 9 hours with a client in Quebec. Came back via some back roads to the border, had no clue where I was, just followed the blue line on google maps in the dark.

But nice people and worthwhile visit.

Note

To the Equinox for a wine tasting by a wholesale distributor. Sampled 60 wines over the afternoon, somebody had to do it ... nailed a few very good ones at very reasonable cost <$10, and few okay ones at $50.

Strength 2:00:00 [2]

Three hours in the morning cutting back brush on the new Butternut Hill trail. Got the worst part done.

Then all afternoon excavating, shoveling and setting drains across the top of the drive in front of the garage. Mixed up some concrete to lock them in place. Some was fresh, but 2 bags went back to setting posts for the deck 8 years ago. These had already set rock hard, so need to get a couple more.

Back pretty sore.
