Wednesday Oct 31

Running 5:20 [3] 1.6 km (3:20 / km)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
4 . 400m intervals - Times: 80,76,79,67?
My brain was fried after these..it's the drugs.
Running 15:00 [2] 2.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
To Thomas? (I had a major cramp!)

Tuesday Oct 30

Running 30:00 [3] 4.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
To the pool! - (and back)

Monday Oct 29

MatBall 1:00:00 [5]
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Another level-5 intensity Mat-Ball game..(kickball, but indoors and with 4 bases, of which you must run twice around). We lost 22-14, and I officially quit gym class Mat-Ball.
Running 45:00 [3] 6.42 mi (7:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Easy-ish run with Nate, Nico, Alex and Wade, with dashes of Coach, Pat, and Chris. 8 30-second pickups every 2.5 minutes after 15 minutes, ending with 10 minutes left (supposedly).

Does anyone have pictures of Marcus Whitman? Perhaps Thursday I could do a 'visit', because I don't remember what it looks like.
I found a map:http://tytler.net/mcxcws/matt/maps/whitmanmap.pdf

Saturday Oct 27

Running 18:33 [5] 3.1 mi (5:58 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
COUNTIES RACE -- Most important race so far, and I came to run. Excited with my time and place, felt quite accomplished.

This was just mini-sectionals..prepare for Saturday.

Friday Oct 26

Running 20:00 [2] 2.5 mi (7:59 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Easy run with people, I don't really remember who.

counties on Saturday.

Thursday Oct 25

Running 30:00 [2] 6.5 mi (4:36 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Ran with Nico and Nate to a teepee, then with Pat to the mini-tempo, then the whole group. Counties on Saturday.

Holy Macaroni! my log is a disgrace to what the Kempster writes..

Tuesday Oct 23

MatBall 40:00 [5]
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
INTENSE mat-ball game in gym class..yea that's right. We cleaned house. Honestly, I felt like I normally do after a workout. Better physical activity than regular gym..we should just have "Mat-Ball" instead of gym.
Practice canceled.
Stationary Bike 20:00 [3]
Getting the mileage up to a readable "150" miles..i think the odometer is off anyways, but if it's not, I'll at least read decent mileage.

Monday Oct 22

Running 40:00 [3] 5.6 mi (7:08 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Easy run with Nico, Nate and Alex (I honestly hope he gets to run varsity and gets his time up at counties) - awfully thorny, I have scars all up my back
Abs 10:00 [3]
Stupid freshman.

Sunday Oct 21

Running 35:00 [3] 5.0 mi (7:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
So I only ran 35 minutes..(I got back home and I didn't know any quick routes, so i ended) - Figured I should ride my bike anyways!
Biking 17:00 [3]
Riding around my neighborhood. Saw a stationary bike just sitting out waiting for the trash, so I wrote a mental note and planned on getting it later.
Pumping Iron 30:00 [3]
Arms today..haven't lifted in a while, and if I want to be like Alex Brett, I should start up again.
Note
I picked up that stationary bike and carried it home after we came home from dropping Sarah off..it's REALLY squeaky, but perhaps some oil will fix that..it's like Christmas!

Saturday Oct 20

Note
Did some walking..hardcore into-the-wind style!

Hour run tomorrow..maybe an hour and a half - we'll see. Haven't run for two days, so it's time. Extra-hard work this week, counties are Saturday. Aren't I supposed to taper? I have no idea how a 'taper' works.
C • Tapering 2

Friday Oct 19

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 4.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Warmup/Cooldown
Running 14:00 [3] 4 km (3:30 / km)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
2 by 2000m intervals today. Let's just say that the time was 14:00..approximation based off the mile times, which were 6:17 and 6:20.

Wednesday Oct 17

Hashing 45:00 [3] 5.8 mi (7:45 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
I was a flour-throwing fairy today, sprinkling dots of flour on various things. Led the pack through some thorns, but unfortunately I have some marks as well, (and the guilt is coming in about Chelsea (and the rest of them) having scratches.

Counties prep starts tomorrow, with intense workouts all the way through. It's business time.

Tuesday Oct 16

Running warm up/down 45:00 [2] 6.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Warmup/Cooldown
C • Very nice 1
Running race 17:58 [5] 3.1 mi (5:47 / mi) vdot: 56.3
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
What a race! I broke 18 on Seneca of all places, and beat Chris Mauro on the final sprint of the last race of the year. Chelsea ran faster than McQuaid..(yea that's right) and it seemed like everyone improved their time from last Seneca.
On a side note, today was a very interesting day as well!

Monday Oct 15

Running 10:00 [3] 1.36 mi (7:20 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Warmup..distance obviously approximate
Running 45:00 [3] 6.4 mi (7:01 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Easy..ish run with Myself, Nate and Nico (future team of champions) in the woods. Some 1:00 tempo sessions thrown in, with a few encounters with hills. I love fall runs, they're so pretty!

Race tomorrow..Chris Mauro hasn't ran in a week, and the conditions are prime, so he's going down. Goal is top 3 with a time of sub 18:45.

Sunday Oct 14

Note
!!!!!!!!!!!
C • Uh oh 2

Saturday Oct 13

Running 30:00 [2] 4.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
warmup/cooldown
Running race 18:07 [5] 3.1 mi (5:50 / mi) vdot: 55.7
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Very fast course...literally no hills, and one whole mile in the woods! What killed me was coming out of the wills, encountering a wall of wind smashing into everyone..crazy - 18:07? If i knew that I'd only be 7 seconds off, it would have given me a much higher incentive. Time to learn how to count time in my head during a race..

It was cold.

Friday Oct 12

Running 30:00 [3] 4.2 mi (7:08 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Easy run before the "Bulldog Stampede" (??) tomorrow. It's a fast course, let's see how far the past week of work has gotten me..

Thursday Oct 11

Running intervals 17:30 [4] 4.8 km (3:39 / km)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
6 x 800 intervals..time is approximate, splits will come later if Nate logs this week..
Running 30:00 [2]
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Warmup-Cooldown

Tuesday Oct 9

Running 5:38 [3] 1.0 mi (5:37 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Mile for gym..so far I have the fastest time for an upperclassmen in Ms. Doormans class. Race today!
Running race 19:22 [5] 3.1 mi (6:14 / mi) vdot: 51.6
Worst course ever, worst time ever. Time isn't even official, that's what I heard from Pat. I think we beat Olympia..at least i hope we did. What I hate most about Mendon East is the hills - they always get the best of me..just uphill in general.

Whatever - where is the invitational on Saturday? And are we doing hills on thursday?
C • Saturday 3
Running warm up/down 30:00 [3] 4.2 mi (7:08 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Warmup/Cooldown

Monday Oct 8

Running 45:00 [3] 6.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Easy run with Nico, Nate, and Pat before tomorrows race. Mendon East is my LEAST FAVORITE course by far. Luckily, I'll run it about 3 times this year!!!

Sunday Oct 7

Biking long 3:20:00 [4] 20.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
INSANE adventure bikeride up in Rush-Henrietta, down to Mendon. Somewhat along this canal type thing. Mountain biking takes quite a toll on your legs!! It was a riot, cause there were about 20 of us spread out on this trail, and it was very fun. Good training on a sunday? Consider biking again? We'll see with the race on Tuesday.

Saturday Oct 6

Running race 8:36 [5] 1.5 mi (5:44 / mi) vdot: 53.3
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
1.5 mile relay team w/ Nate, Nico, Chris, and Pat. Wanted to run it again afterwards, now that I knew the course.
Running race 8:44 [5] 1.5 mi (5:49 / mi) vdot: 52.4
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Co-Ed race with Chelsea, Nico, and Meghan. Kept the position for the team, but didn't improve my team. Next race will be ran with a vengeance.
Running 8:29 [5] 1.5 mi (5:39 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
What a shame. Could have won this race if i kept it up..I guess it's a bit of encouragement to know that I'm officially not JV. Would have been on the pedastal, gotten a medal..oh well. Wouldn't have wanted to take it away unfairly from someone.

Not looking forward to Mendon East.

Friday Oct 5

Running 30:00 [3] 4.2 mi (7:08 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Easy run before the races on Saturday.

Thursday Oct 4

Running intervals 17:59 [4]
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
5 1000m intervals at Mendon..splits: 3:37, 32, 43, 28, 39

Tuesday Oct 2

Running race 18:14 [5] 3.1 mi (5:52 / mi) vdot: 55.3
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Race - went out too fast, but still felt pretty consistent for some reason. Same exact time at Webster Park...??

Monday Oct 1

Running 50:00 [2] 8.0 mi (6:14 / mi)
shoes: Asics GEL-1120
Easy run before the race tomorrow - Mendon West. From what I remember of last year, it's a great trail race, with one drawback being the huge hill. Not too long, but long and steep enough to be quite a pain. Perhaps Webster boys can go 1-2-3 on one opponent tomorrow? We'll see.
