MY LEGS ARE DEAD

Thursday Jul 17

Running 5:00 [3]0.5 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Saucony
A little warm-up and cooldown jogging with the team before their workout. I had to stand out in the rain and take splits for everyone.
C • your efforts are appreciated 1
Pumping Iron 30:00 [3]
Lifting with the team - just arms

Running 58:04 [3]8.2 mi (7:04 / mi)
shoes: Saucony
Medium pace run with the "advanced plus a few" group, here..I'll list them all. Started out: Me, Nico, JP, Cole, Jared, Alex, Ethan, Colin, Coach Brunswick. Around Whiting: Me, Nico, Cole, Jared, Alex, Colin? - Out of Whiting: Me, Nico, Cole, Jared (AND BRIMSTEIN FOR A FEW SECONDS!!) - I couldn't hold it anymore and dove into the woods, releived myself, and caught up to Nico and Cole around the rollers. Jared took it slower for the last part.

Note
How do you get to "Federations"?

Wednesday Jul 16

Running 32:00 [3]4.1 mi (7:48 / mi)
shoes: Saucony
Ran a slow (recovery?) 32 minutes with JP and Afro Thunder, JP took off around 23-24 minutes in, so John and I had some quality time together. I've come to the conclusion that his Afro hurts his running only because it creates a virtual sheet attached above his head, which results in his head tilting back more than it should, making the amount of oxygen he breathes in less that it's potential, due to the curvature of his airways in his neck from the tilt of his head.

The shot at 7:06..brilliance

How does THAT happen? How can one be an elite runner?

Note
i have to win states
Running hills 34:42 [5]4.5 mi (7:41 / mi)
shoes: Saucony
Mendon "Dirt Cheap Trail Series" race, more of a hill workout again, (Coach managed to trick me into another one) - Legs felt relatively tired, but overall I thought it was a great opportunity to run at a quicker pace than usual, so I took it. Time-trial start due to the stairs at the beginning, so I passed a few (94 if i counted correctly) people before the finish. Clare was number 1.
Included in the route was the big Mendon West hill that everyone hates, so naturally I sprinted up it! - Second in my age group, behind a 15-year old kid from "Rochester". I have to beat him if I'm going to win states.

Tuesday Jul 15

Biking 40:00 [3]7.0 mi (5:42 / mi)
Biking to and from practice, 20 minutes either way. - The reason it's 7 miles is because Nico, JP and I took a detour on the way back.
"say what?"
Running 10:20 [3]2.0 mi (5:10 / mi)
shoes: Saucony
Coach had us do 4x800m intervals, slow, (30 seconds slower than race pace 800 time..) - splits: 2:38, realized I was going too fast, 2:42, a little better, then two consistent 2:50's - So, the total time is off.
Pumping Iron 30:00 [3]
At school, lifting weights - Nico's sister came, wonder if she's actually running, or just tagging along with Nico
Running 30:00 [3]4.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
shoes: Saucony
Ran with the 'Advanced' group, I led the whole run, (which rocked), we took it at a very conversational pace. What was interesting was that I've never even talked with that group of Thomas guys, and now I feel like I know them pretty well.
C • Thomas 3
Running 11:00 [3]2.0 mi (5:29 / mi)
Not even sure of the time; we just wanted to show the younger Thomas guys how it's done.

Monday Jul 14

Running 41:00 [3]6.0 mi (6:50 / mi)
shoes: Saucony
Run with JP, Bobby McMahon, and John Wiseman
Biking 55:00 [3]12.5 mi (4:23 / mi)
A little less than JP biked - to practice and back
Note
pumped for camp tomorrow

Sunday Jul 13

Running 33:50 [3]4.5 mi (7:30 / mi)
Open Minded run
Note
i have to win states
