Note

hey all, quick update
it's my "week off" after states, which I ran a very disappointing 9:18 3k. This whole "the training will pay off later" thing is starting to get boring, (which i know is a bad thing). 65+ miles a week right now, but it's my week off. Maybe outdoor will be better

also, it's awesome to realize that my "easy run" days are 9 or 10 miles. pretty sweet.

Note

oh and by the way, i wasn't ever good in high school. if anything i was a "recreational runner who joined the xc/track teams" - i guess college makes you learn this. also, it makes you learn that getting injured, although disappointing, isn't the "final end" to a season. guys at RIT have taken a few weeks off mid-season and come back to run flawlessly at states, xc or track. view injuries as a temporary setback, and also an "opportunity to strength train!!!"

ps, i made deans list, currently have a 3.9 cumulative GPA (4.0 this quarter), and i wholeheartedly believe that the lessons i learned from running contributed the most to these results. so keep running
