Note

British Schools Champs. 6 hours signing things, having my photo taken, talking and handing out prizes in the rain. Then it started pissing it down so I went home and had a warm bath and some beer.

Pre-running W16 at Frith Hill for the World Schools test race. Gorgeous terrain, but I know it a bit well. Made 2 small mistakes totalling about 45 secs - bit stupid really. First time I have really pushed hard since calf injury - felt really good!

Introduced a friend to orienteering. We went round the orange together, then he did the Light Green on his own, me shadowing - very impressive skills!

Hard game, knackered - long time since I trained so much in a day

Kent Night Cup
After a cheeky nap (can't remember my last one of those!), headed out to a Barrable special in Perry Woods. Quite nice, but I am not a good night orienteer, and I am not a good score orienteer. Only had a little lamp too, but it was ok. Had to hunt for 2 controls.

SLOW Richmond street score event. Had an hour, but easing calf into it, and could feel it after 30 mins on the hard streets, so only ran quite hard for 45mins, then jogged back via a few more controls.
