Orienteering race 1:13:58 [5] **** 16.2 km (4:34 / km)
ahr:155 max:176 spiked:33/35c shoes: 2009 Blue Swoops

Interland at Burnham Beeches. Lovely!
Beautiful beech forest, nice fast running, interesting course with consistent technical challenge and some route choice. Butterflies too. Won, about a minute in front of Fabi Pasquasy, and a couple more in front of Craney and Barrable. England won overall.
Lost less than a minute, was happy with my performance. Legs were a little tired from yesterday, especially for the last 15 minutes, but otherwise felt strong and in control.

Trail/terrain running warm up/down 28:51 [3] 5.5 km (5:15 / km)

Trail/terrain running race 41:23 [5] 11.7 km (3:32 / km)

Nat xc champs. Parliament Hill Fields. Nice muddy and hilly. Started comfortably and then spent most of the race moving through the field. Felt really good and was happy with 48th place considering the training hours I've been putting in. Baker 86th, Rob Little, Joe Mercer, Dave Sprot top 150 ish I think.

Trail/terrain running 1:44:42 intensity: (52:58 @3) + (51:44 @4) 25.2 km (4:09 / km)
shoes: Black Saucony Triumphs

Run along the Thames from Bisham Abbey, out and back. Loads of flooding so had to divert a few times, and got wet feet in places.

Met Jason Gardener at the meeting though, which was nice. Nice guy

Note

Bloody knackered this afternoon, didn't sleep well last night, and really long day yesterday. Was going to go climbing with Kelleher but decided to give it a miss. Rest and sleep more important when body needs it
