GG Alva uphill test run 3.

Cool, cloudy, zero visibility higher up.
Disappointed not to equal or better last attempt, but have a few possible factors-

Tired after test races last weekend and orienteering session on Wednesday.
Fish and chips and pub last night.
Slightly wet underfoot.
Slight headwind instead of tailwind on sectors 4 and 5.
Had to open 1 more gate than last time (3 instead of 2).
Less motivated than last attempt (was considering jacking it in this morning).

Probably a combination of these things rather than any one in particular.

Heart rate very high relative to previous attempts.

Still a very good training and not too concerned.

Very hilly interval training on Kinnoull Hill (another Inman special). 'Portugal relevant'. Felt good after the weekend.

Easy fisheries, quarry, Cambusbarron, then some exploring Torbrex to get up to an hour. Passed some lads shooting Buckfast bottles with a rifle...

Early morning to get F to the sprint, but I definitely wasn't doing anything today except driving home. Slept couple of hours immediately after getting home and felt loads better
