Trail/terrain running race 2:22:00 intensity: (34:00 @1) + (46:00 @2) + (5:00 @3) + (44:00 @4) + (13:00 @5) 22.8 km (6:14 / km)

Debut in purple.

Devil's Burdens Relay leg 2 with Al Anthony. Started steadily along the asphalt, but then were going pretty rapidly up West Lomond, closing the gap to Carnethy and Shetts (Cheps and Tom Owens). Al was a beast on the descent, but then maybe we paid for the earlier pace as Al was a bit tired on the next climb and across to the last checkpoint. Quick descent to the finish, went from 9th (?) to 3rd on the leg, which Ochils held to the end. We were 2nd on the leg, 2s behind Shetts, so we must have dropped quite a lot in the last 20 mins as we weren't far behind them at one point.

Ran back to the car with Al, looking at 'potential' new route (ie. crap routes), and then stupidly contoured back round West Lomond. Longer run than expected!

Skipped the night training.

Orienteering 45:00 intensity: (2:00 @1) + (7:00 @2) + (29:00 @3) + (7:00 @4) 7.8 km (5:46 / km)

Stealth night-o at Falkirk Wheel. Jase's car blew up on route, so we were late, had no tapes put out, and had to be rescued by Fraser. Duncan was late too, so we still were ready long before him.

Cold, icey, but pretty good fun - some of the others were complaining, but I thought the area was mostly pretty cool, and well mapped.

Trail/terrain running warm up/down 22:00 intensity: (14:00 @1) + (6:00 @2) + (2:00 @3) 4.2 km (5:14 / km)

Steady from home.
