Road/track running 19:00 [1] 4.0 km (4:45 / km)

Morning jog
1 PM

Orienteering race 1:32:00 intensity: (2:00 @2) + (23:00 @3) + (56:00 @4) + (11:00 @5) 16.5 km (5:35 / km)

Schiehallion long distance. Dunalastair. Legs feeling unsurprisingly tired at the beginning, and missed number 1 by 20s. Felt like I was cruising along in the beginning (although my splits weren't too bad). Small wobbles at 5, 9, 10, 11. Then I caught Edgars at 12 and it felt like I kicked up a gear. Then we missed the 13th and took a bad route choice (left) to 15!

Ran well with Edgars behind up the hill, and caught and passed both Doug and James to 19 without really seeing them. Had all 3 behind across to 20. I stopped for a drink - took 15s to pour a cup by which time James and Doug had given up and run off. Then me and Edgars had them to chase for the next couple of controls. Passed James at 20, and caught Doug again at 22.

Ran away from the up the hill to 23, and was alone after that. Managed to push the pace, although it looks like Hector was flying from 23 to the finish!

Trail/terrain running warm up/down 23:00 intensity: (15:00 @1) + (8:00 @2) 4.5 km (5:07 / km)

Orienteering race 40:00 intensity: (10:00 @4) + (30:00 @5) 7.0 km (5:43 / km)

Schiehallion weekend middle distance World Ranking Event Tullochroisk.

Really good performance. Felt surprisingly good after last night. Got stuck in some windblow to number 4 (25s) and took a poor route (?) and was very hesitant to 14. Otherwise close to spot on.

Win! Spongey attempting to run through 300m of green instead of round the path made the winning margin flattering...

Trail/terrain running warm up/down 32:00 intensity: (18:00 @1) + (9:00 @2) + (5:00 @3) 6.0 km (5:20 / km)

Trail/terrain running 1:00:00 intensity: (48:00 @1) + (12:00 @2) 11.4 km (5:16 / km)

Very sedate lope with Marcus, followed by 9 hours of Bannockburn hanging, hanging around, collecting. Made my fingers bleed in a few places.
