Long day at Olympic Park and Hackney Wick. Almost in shape for British Sprints now. Somebody gave the whole park a hair cut since I was last there - feels completely different with winter vegetation and all the bushes chopped down!
Hackney Wick is absolutely awesome - small but perfectly formed for sprint racing.

Bitch of a commute there from Woking though.

MSR training leg 1. Good battle with Peter for most of it. He got the short forking at the end :P

Orienteering 11:30 intensity: (1:00 @3) + (10:30 @4) 3.1 km (3:43 / km)

MSR training leg 2. Got a gap early on and never saw anybody else.

Road/track running warm up/down 1:01:00 intensity: (55:00 @1) + (6:00 @2) 11.1 km (5:30 / km)

WU, CD and shadowing F round another loop.

Hanging and collecting for GB sprinters training race at Lufbra Uni, then the cool down line. Great area.

Orienteering 30:00 intensity: (3:00 @1) + (8:00 @2) + (7:00 @3) + (12:00 @4) 7.5 km (4:00 / km)

4 short sprint courses at Clifton. Others did map memory. I'm too old for that stuff (and I planned it) so I ran the first 3 hard, and the last one was a cool down.

'Marathon training' with F in Loch Ard Forest. Promised her I would run with her at some point, and today was that day. Long WU, then 10*6 mins at her half mara intensity with 2 min cruise between. Almost 20km on undulating forest roads in the 80 minutes. She is flying!

FVO night-o at Dumyat. Tough course, low visibility on the higher parts due to low cloud - really challenging! Loved it.

Trail/terrain running warm up/down 1:01:00 intensity: (37:00 @1) + (24:00 @2) 9.9 km (6:10 / km)

WU then collecting the furthest away controls (obviously). Toughest cool down ever!

As I was in the area, I headed over to Luss and ran up Beinn Dubh. Another Graham ticked off, and a good recce for the upcoming hill race.
Steady up, smashed the down.

2 road closures and subsequent diversions made the journey longer than I would have liked...
