Trail/terrain running 6:05:00 intensity: (5:30:00 @1) + (35:00 @2) 37.5 km (9:44 / km) +2700m 7:09 / km

10 Peaks recce P1. Visited 7 of the 10 peaks, plus some bonus ones (on the route still). Lovely Mr Winskill kindly gave me a lift to Steel End car park, and then I ran the race route over to Honister Pass.

Up Wyth Burn, High Raise, Bowfell, Esk Pike, Great End, Ill Crag, Broad Crag, Scafell Pike, Scafell (via Foxes Tarn), down into Wasdale then up Black Sails Pass. At this point I bailed on going out to Pillar and back, and continued the route over to Great Gable, then back along Moses Trod to Honister. Out over 7h, but taking a lot of notes/pictures and eating a lot. Ran as much as I could (slowly), and walked/scrambled the rest as fast as I could.

A lot of climb and a lot of technical running! This is some race - I didn't even do Helvellyn to start with! Part 2 tomorrow.

Didn't see much - was in cloud for most of it.

Orienteering race 22:15 intensity: (1:00 @3) + (17:00 @4) + (4:15 @5) 5.3 km (4:12 / km)
shoes: Bold 2

JK Relay Pippingford. Shminty smashed 1st leg, coming in 2nd just behind Oxford, but crucially well ahead of Edinburgh Uni. I took the lead early and managed to extend it slightly, and Kris brought it home comfortably.

Nice race - fast and furious, lovely area and a good weekend.

Trail/terrain running warm up/down 36:00 intensity: (22:00 @1) + (12:00 @2) + (2:00 @3) 6.0 km (6:00 / km)
