Bad to No.1 in the Green. Good till No.9 which was a slog through long grass and into really strong wind. Caught the UDOC guy who started 2mins before and was caught by an FVO (who had mp'd) guy at No.18. Lead the three of us until 29 where I didnt risk climbing down the cliff and took the long and uphill route around, lost 40s. Lost about 90s in total. Good fun and still reasonably hard despite a bit of local knowledge. Hadnt orienteered in a lot of it, even if I had run there before.

Edinburgh City Race

17th Lost 2mins at No.19 when I went straight and both gates were marked as crossable and where closed. This cost me a top 10. Went super fast a bit too early to catch Donald P, Jamie and Spungey, got what might have been fastest split had there not been the whole road crossing people then got the fastest on the Next 2 legs, both less than 1min (5s faster than anyone else on a 39s leg) and hit the wall after catching them. Struggled on without losing them. Good technically and interesting to see how everywhere linked up. I had no idea how close the meadows was to the old town.
