SARUM National Event and FCC 1

The area was a bit rubbish, think Dalkeith CP with more green and some big re entrants, not very exiting. Pretty mediocre running speed, made one mistake and lost 2mins on an epic but stupid route choice. Got caught by Spoungey. Not very fast, not very good navigation.

Came 9th so decent fcc points and at least there is plenty to do to improve for future races.

From YH down to the cathedral and out to the river at the back. As far as Cathedrals go, Salisbury was very boring and average. Definatly not amazing or impressive ;-)

Some rugby game going on, didnt pay much attention.

Went to meadowbank for football, got 45 mins in before the hibs training people kicked us off. Then table tennis until the table got broken (maybe I shouldnt have sat on it) and the ball got a bit smashed up. Then the fire alarm went off, then football outside on astro for 2 hours or so. Got a take on off about 50 wee kids, got beat 6-5, probably somthing to do with the 3:1 player advantage. Then walked home.

Pollock and back leg loosner for sunday (FCC1). Got very held up by traffic at the crossroads and duddy village.


got my letter with the dates for the national junior league track meets this season, sadly can only make the leeds one as all others clash ;( and thats the w/e before the fcc final, really want a shot at a 10min 3k this year and this is my best chance as its the w/e before the fcc final so ill hopefully be in good shape, and itll be class field and running up in U20 and normally a full field of 16 runners meaning lots of competition.

More stoopid running in PE. Did a fartlek on the playing fields by school.

Did 9 laps. 1 length 1/2 pace, width sprint, length 3/4 pace (up the hill to the side of the pitch then jog to start. The same guy who was 2nd in the 12 min run was after me again and went nailing away. Sat in beside him but my stupid techer kept making me stop and take my HR so I kept being out on my own behind. Didnt want to get into a race but my pride was at stake so I did anyway. Caught the 100m lost and managed to pull away on the last lap when he slowed way down. Good fun to get a race in PE, he's pretty fast for a footballer.

I reckon we'd have a good team for the schottish schools xc if it didnt always clash with selection races and was during school hours so I could get others to come. We'd have that Peebles lot who always win anyday.

"Intervals" in PE. rest day so didnt really want to run hard, sat in at the front and didnt force the pace at all. 60s "hard" 20s rest. We were measuring our HR every rep, only reached 120bpm. Some fatty hit 190bpm going even slower, and thats in higher PE, minging. Got in trouble a bit for not trying hard enough when we gave in our HRs.

Breezed the Geography Prelim 2 today, one of the two questions I had done in my past paper book yesterday so did it my memory. Physics on Thursday will be harder though.

Im a weed so ive decided to do 15mins a day of stretching/ core stuf to build strength up a bit to improve running eceonmy etc.
