Run warm up/down 40:00 [1]

So ill I was dry-wretching for most of the time I was out hanging controls for B&B's post-wedding O race through the streets and woods of Dunblane,
needless to say I was straight back to bed after.
Thankfully I was back up in time to see everyone and see the B&G off.
Yet again they were blessed with gorgeous wedding weather - they're obviously a luckier pair than me and the wife!

Run 40:00 [3]

Easy run pre-wedding with Skyhigh, Magic and Groom Bradski up to the Gathering Stone.
Very little sign of freyed nerves in our group - although we'd had to leave the Best Man Ken behind to go over his speech!

Managed to get in the fried breakfast and tie my cravat all by myself before heading off to be one of the two ushers at the Hydro. What a day - the sun came out, the bride looked gorgeous in her ivory dress, so did the groom actually, in his tartan skirt. A great day!

I just wish I could remember the last part of it ;-P

Orienteering race 24:00 [5] 4.0 km (6:00 / km)

World Schools Middle Race, Barr Wood.
No warm up and started a little gingerly due to the sore leg but then attacked the course OK.
Boy, those kids can shift!

Easy Run warm up/down 25:00 [3]

Collecting in controls and warming down after wards.
Many thanks to Stalker Barrett for leaving si out and letting the FVO crowd run the race.

(rest day)

After yesterday's antics I'm sore and oozing puss and bruised and generally in bits!
But uit feels like I've done something! Legs feel OK - chest feels like I've just taken up the trombone!

Fell Race race 34:30 [5]
ahr:172 max:180

First in the Bog & Burn Series of Fell Races at the Whangie Whizz - near Auchengillan (where were you Orrs??).

Got there a little late and had to park miles away - after a brief fracca about paying (yes of course I'm a SAL member - not!) we were off. I thought it would be a really short race so went off hard to try to hang on. Got in fron of Jon X and not too far behind Bradski. Very muddy and stony course and loads of people were panzying around and getting in my way! Managed to get within 5 metres of Brad at the far end before slipping on the track and taking a few layers off my left shin. I tried to climb hard up to the trig but my effort was diminishing and on the way back I went into zombie mode for a while (blanking the pain of now two falls, bashed shin and twisted ankle. I let Brad get away 9there was no way I'd keep with him on the down anyway and was suprised by a super speedy overtake by jon X shortly before the final descent (not bad considering he'd been orienteering already that night!).
Nick Barrable 1st, Jamie Jnr 2nd, Mudge 1st lady.
FVO old boys order Brad, Jon, Jase.
Just the lungblaster i needed!

Easy Run warm up/down 20:00 [2]

At least 20 mins - with a stop at first aid after!
