Wild camping with the family last night on Loch Drunkie. Beach side fire pit, stunning views, gorgeously sunny and breeze to keep midges at bay.
Swam early morning, then kayaked with the kids and then ran back to The Lodge on forest tracks and trails (apart from one naff forest short(long) cut). Red hot and humid.
Fab 24 hours. Knackered now!
Checking all the new Permanent O course markers in South Achray from the Aberfoyle Office. Also popped into Dounans to hand over their new Start/Finish waymarker.
Home to Laigh Hills World Orienteering Day event. Jog about, shadow cubs on white and then a yellow and then collect controls on way home. Then onto the serious bit - pub.
A run from home up to gathering Stone on a wiggly route then into the greener forest to hunt down the secret trods. Much fun! So much so the hour went by pretty painlessly :-)
Scottish Relay Champs, Binning Wood.
Stupid relay, stupid course names, stupid wood, stupid me for going out like a hare with a rocket up its backside, stupid, stupid, stupid.
Best part of the day? Gardening when I got home.
