Orienteering 54:00 [3] 9.8 km (5:31 / km)

Bilbao City Race. Groin v sore so resigned to taking it steady. Newly washed streets were very slippy and making things worse. Monro caught and passed me as he cheated on a road crossing. I lost the plot after that, far too much ambiguity over road and bridge crossing hashing. Very iconic finish at the Guggenheim. Broken but not out. Fun.

Orienteering 29:00 [3] 3.2 km (9:04 / km) +150m 7:21 / km

Bilbao. Forest middle race. Extremely hungover but not as bad as Chris who had been chundering all morning. Knew I had to do this to clear the head. Beach forest on steep slopes looking for tiny point features. All about good compass and safe o. Head throbbing, dry retching on some climbs but managed to shuffle round and hold the o together. Shocked to take 2nd place between 2 Nogs. Good head clearer ;-)

Orienteering race 12:20 [4] 2.1 km (5:52 / km)

Bilbao. Night Sprint. Well up for this fun sprint in a park at night. Turned out to be a very twisty detailed slippy race where consistency was key. Monro was kicking my butt on all but two controls but that was enough for me to take the win! Wicked! Groin now sore from sliding and twisting. Beer recovery.

Orienteering 40:48 [3] 4.84 km (8:26 / km)

FVO Night O at Gallamuir. Arrived late and opted to run round the first part of the long course. Enjoying being out and trying out my new headlamp :-)
40 minutes was enough. Good, spicy, curry at the Springkerse!
