Orienteering 40:00 [1]

Hanging and collecting o courses on the East side of Laigh Hills for Newton PS Running Club. Absolutely terrible pissing rain but the kids enjoyed themselves - especially Brad's detouring foot wash across the burn :-)

Scottish Relay Champs
Handicap....erm, well, I guess she has a name ;-)
Nah, I don't mean to be rude. This relay has a great mass start spirit but then it totally dies a death when no-one has a clue what is going on.
Attacked the wee course but came a cropper at no4 where the paths made no sense and I paid for it by bashing through bramble screen for ages.
Enjoyed the butterfly and the final loop. Beaten by Janine, again!
She's going well!

Scottish Orienteering Champs - Dalbeattie
M45 Gold!

God, what an event. Thought it was game over after a miss at no 4, then a total pillock of a parallel error before the erroneous control 141 so after that I resign to getting in a good terrain run and enjoying what I had left. Orienteered more consistently after that. Such a surprise to see 1st on my splits print!

Turns out we're all bloody crap at green orienteering! And my worst mistake was kindly removed by the jury :-)

Bliss.
