11 AM

Orienteering 42:08 [3] 5.1 km (8:16 / km) +190m 6:58 / km
ahr:158 max:183

Lakes Weekend - Middle. A clearer map today and my hamstrings were significantly better, allowing me to rum more confidently. Spiked most controls, 40 seconds down on young Duncan Archer. Nae bad.

11 AM

Orienteering 1:11:31 [3] 7.41 km (9:39 / km) +270m 8:10 / km
ahr:157 max:189

Lakes Weekend - Long, Holme Fell.
Hamstrings hurting so couldn't do more than shuffle. Extremely hot and struggled with 1:10,000 maps, just stumbling into the circle and bumbling at times, esp. at end. Pleasant enough.

31 kids practised orienteering at Newton Primary today. About half of them are already FVO members. God Dunblane is nailing this right now. Long may it continue.
