Orienteered pretty poorly. Exited control 1 wrong, scrappy planning (if at all) and about zero flow. Def need to instill some routine to ensure adequate plannin. Legs were a bit sore in tedonitis spots...hopefully they will toughen up soon.

Chronic muddy and slippery. Was fun riding and was with steve most of the first half, made a stupid, stupid route choice to 10 and then 10 - 11 took 16mins (should taken 7) just cause the mud/clay kept locking up the wheels. Raging after the 6th time i stopped in 200m to clear it out. After i eventually got going again, it went back to being fun. No mistakes, would have liked to have been about 1hr45min.

Joke: 500m into ride after bike being serviced rear derailleur literally falls apart and i have to carry bike back home (hence this session).
Punchline: im hit up to pay for a new derailleur that is the model down from the one i was ridin.

First decent run in forever. From lochend to dumaresq, no oval, no stopping, just chuggin along. Could feel lower legs occassionally, but i assume that is just from lack of use. Didn't time, so i hope its about 25mins, but prolly closer to 20.

Ride from Wangi, through to Hawkemount/Sandy Creek and then out to Morriset. Was alright bush area, but bike has had it now. Service time.

Tried to find some bush on this ride. From uni, into jesmond through to blackbutt. Loop round there, disappointing area to ride from a mtb point of view and indirectly made way back with a bit of bush.

Ride at killingworth. Really good to get out into the bush and found a new section of single trail which i hadn't been on there before. Started to get a bit weary toward end. Technical skills still leave a lot to be desired.

Tried running round some of the old loops i did back in the day. Was interesting to see the area again, some of the single trails are looking rideable. An inkling of the lower leg stuff, but nothing too major i dont think.

Ride with jamie who was on his roadie. Inspired by the Tour we went out to martinsville (~21km) then up into the watagans (3.8km climb), i stuffed round on the trails at the top while jamie did the climb again, then down together and out to Slippery Rock Rd, another climb into the watagans but this time a dirt track and short (1.9km). Ride back to Wangi with a stop for some gatorade and a puncture. Didn't have much to offer on the climbs, esp in comparison to jamie, which was disappointing. Love to go back out there sometime and see if i've 'man'ed up any

Round the dump bush. Just spent the time climbing, then tryin to perfect the downhills, particularly ST (40.38 avg21 max25), but also ML. Good fun.
