Was a bit tired of skiing and also wanted to give my gliding muscles a break. Running felt wonderful in the beginning, but I quickly started to feel my left hip/butt muscles (which were bothering my already yesterday on my long ski). Running in the afternoon made it much tougher than if you go early in the morning, since the snow is softer. I felt my stabilizing muscles working hard and I was actually getting pretty tired after 1hr of running. I had to be back to let the grandparents go for a tour at 15h, so I ran up towards Schatzalp as much as I could before having to head back to be on time.
