Monday May 31

Note
I moved to Switzerland on May 27th and promtly got sick! I had to take four days off and miss two races! Before moving I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Exercise Science! I was training before I moved, I was just too busy to log it in.

Thursday May 20

running (100% trails/roads) 1:15:24 [3]
ahr:165 max:182
Beach hill, Madbury road loop, beautiful day! WOW, I will miss New Hampshire's little wooded trails and open fields...

Sunday May 16

warm-up/cool-down 30:00 [3]
Orienteering 1:18:02 [5]
ahr:175 max:197
This is one of the smoothest races I think I have ever had. I was happy with it, eventhough ironically both Pia and Erin were much faster. I still left the meet with a positive feeling, a few years ago when I moved to the east from Colorado, the idea of running this well in Harriman was unthinkable. I can see how much progress I have made over the last 5 years and its exciting. A great way to end this springs State side racing season!

Saturday May 15

warm-up/cool-down 30:00 [3]
warm-up and cool-down for race
Orienteering 1:29:23 [5]
ahr:164 max:198
This wasn't an exceptionally good race, with about 4 minutes of error. Physically I didn't feel great because of the heat, but I was able to keep moving throughout the whole course. I was surprized that my time was decent.

Friday May 14

running (mixed off/on trail) 1:01:24 [3]
ahr:164 max:178
College woods, plus east and west foss farm loops with Melissa! Its really nice to run with people!

Thursday May 13

running (100% trails/roads) 30:45 [3]
ahr:149 max:175
Short rose lawn farm loop with Erin! She surprized me at my house in a moment of laziness and saved the day. My last final exam was this morning and its like someone has let all the air out of my tires, the pressure is gone! But it was fun to jog and chat!

Tuesday May 11

cycling 1:48:23 [3]
ahr:162 max:182
Bike ride, beauty hill loop + wednesday hill road. Very hot, glad I wore sun screen.

Monday May 10

running (mixed off/on trail) 1:02:24 [3]
Through campus to west foss farm loop, then over to east foss farm loop and back through college woods. Feel my leg a little more this afternoon than the last few days, but I didn't have time to ice after running. Busy with finals. BUT I HAVE THREE DAYS LEFT OF MY COLLEGE CAREER!! Wahoo:-)

Saturday May 8

running (100% trails/roads) 55:25 [3]
ahr:161 max:174
beach hill road to the fields, on some small trails and back home. finally felt good running, it actually felt normal again, wahoo!!

Friday May 7

gym workout 1:15:35 [3]
ahr:140 max:166
bike 30' elliptical 30' weights 15'
running (mixed off/on trail) 52:34 [3]
ahr:166 max:182
college woods and east - west foss farm loops

Thursday May 6

running (mixed off/on trail) 58:32 [3]
ahr:162 max:181
Running around college woods and east foss farm loop

Wednesday May 5

running (100% trails/roads) 32:45 [3]
ahr:161 max:174
Short rose lawn farm loope. Felt that pavement causes a little pain in my leg

Tuesday May 4

running (mixed off/on trail) 58:26 [3]
ahr:162 max:182
I went on an intended 30 min run, but felt no pain at all in my leg. I loved being outside and in nature and let the run get longer and longer. It was great! And still now afterwards no pain. My heart rate was a little higher than normal though.

Saturday May 1

running (mixed off/on trail) 15:24 [3]
Warm-up and cool down for Day 1 at west point
Orienteering 1:47:56 [5]
ahr:179 max:202 (injured)
Day 1 at West Point. it was an okay race, my legs were very tired, and not used to running, but my injury didn't hurt too much. I could tell I just had to hold back a little. I wasn't happy but my race, but also not disapointed considering the circumstances.
