running 1:02:21 intensity: (3:32 @1) + (38:48 @2) + (7:09 @3) + (7:20 @4) + (5:32 @5) 9.48 km (6:35 / km) +194m 5:58 / km
ahr:160 max:190

Intervals: 4 x 4 min with 3 min break. The loop was some up and down, tried to work as hard as I could for 4 min. Good effort. During the last one I had a gag reflex and had to stop for about 10 seconds in order not to throw up. That is why my km time is slower on that one. But I sprinted the last part after I got my stomach to calm down. Need to eat breakfast earlier or do something like this before breakfast.

classic xc skiing 1:06:52 [2] 9.35 km (7:09 / km) +209m 6:26 / km

Classic skiing up at La Vue des Alps. We had a planning day with the O club and there was a scheduled break for skiing. It was the worst conditions you could imagine. Raining, windy and fogging. I was soaking wet at the end, but at least it wasn't cold out (hence the rain) and I actually really enjoyed it. Weather doesn't usually influence my like or dislike of a training.

Note
(rest day)

My patella tendon did not react well to the skating from Wednesday and the strength on Thursday just aggravated it more... so I had to take a rest day today.

strength 55:00 [2]

Strength training with Marc. My patella tendon is a little irritated from the skating yesterday, but I could basically do everything, just some not at the same intensity.

skate skiing 1:35:49 intensity: (15:29 @1) + (10:10 @2) + (17:02 @3) + (44:27 @4) + (8:41 @5) 18.28 km (5:15 / km) +93m 5:07 / km
ahr:173 max:187

Out with the whole group once we were done with work stuff. I almost died, because everyone in my group is either really fit (national coach of the mtb team) or former xc-skiers, etc. After about an hour I started to bonk. I am just not used to this skiing thing.

I am surpised that this workout didn't make me feel more tired. My heart rate was bascially at 180'/min for most of it. Good threshold training I guess.

classic xc skiing 39:05 [2] 5.66 km (6:54 / km) +64m 6:32 / km

We spent most of the day working out our plans for this year etc, but we made some time over lunch to go out, since it's really cold (-25° during the night) we wanted to go out during the warmest part of the day.

running 20:00 [1]

Running after skiing, because classic skiing gives me sore muscles.

classic xc skiing 1:11:04 [2] 10.2 km (6:58 / km) +65m 6:45 / km

3 days work planning retreat in Goms. We always had a little time for xc-skiing, which was nice. I haven't skated since early December because it hurt my knee. So I also decided to classic ski today. Goms is really nice.
