Most of the time, Marc and I have a busy schedule, I think we like it this way, otherwise we would take it more easy from time to time. These last few weeks and the next two weeks are a bit over the top though. Today, I traveled 4.5 hours on the train from 7:15 to noon to go to Scuol in the Engadin, where JWOC will be held this summer. I am in charge of all the Ceremonies (opening, closing, prize giving, plus VIP and the JWOC Party), and we had an organising committee meeting in Scuol today and tomorrow. Marc took the kids to Germany for a family get together and I will join them there after leaving the Engadin. Never ending action.
It was so good to go see all the arenas, to get a feel for what each place looks like. I also got to talk to the florist about the bouquets and saw the disco/bar where we will have the JWOC party. It's lots of work and I am sometimes a bit overwhelmed, I have never done something like this before, but I think we are well prepared. Watch out for the official JWOC song which will be launched on Monday!
After we looked at the last arena, I decided to run from there to our hotel in Ftan. It was nice to be able to get some exercise in the beautiful Engadin forests. If people don't know yet what to do this summer, the JWOC week and SOW are going to be amazing. I also have a inside tip for accommodations in a house with over 100 beds, so there are options!
