Sprint intervals in La Chaux de Fonds with the girls of the junior team. This was so much fun, but also so physical. Baptiste put a bunch of artificial barriers on the map to make the orienteering more interesting and it really worked. It was sometimes so difficult to find the best route. At each interval we did a mass-start and the rule was if the person in font of you took a certain route choice, you had to choose another. For the first two intervals I was always just behind Eliane and had to take the slightly longer route choice the whole time, making it impossible to catch up, but it is a great exercise to force you to find other routes. The next two intervals I was ahead of Florence, meaning I got to choose and she often had to go a bit out of the way. She almost caught me a few time. On the last interval, I was ahead again, but she sprinted past me to have the advance on the route choice and I was stuck doing something slower. It was a really fun way to do the training. I ran my heart out against these young women, tough physical training for me!

running 33:14 [1] 4.61 km (7:13 / km) +137m 6:17 / km

Running before breakfast, because we went to a wedding and there wouldn't be any time after the wedding. This felt horrible, like it always does. Marc tells me that you get used to it, but I am not sure I want to try. I was however very glad to have gotten some exercise and I was proud I went, so that is positive.

strength 10:00 [1]

Some ab exercises. Should do more core...

Matti has had a fever for 3 days now, so he didn't go to daycare, which means I didn't "go" to work (I work from home...). During his nap, I decided to get some exercise instead of trying to get a few bits of work done. Exercising is more satisfying. I wish though that I would start to feel normal again. Still feel sick.

My cold isn't getting worse, but it's also not getting better. Frustrated to feel yucky especially because we have so much going on! We had 3 appointments last week, 4 this week and 3 next week for things about the new house. It's also exciting, but it takes SO MUCH TIME.
