No time today for a run or going out side for a moment. This quick yoga session felt good, but I could have done it for an hour. I am a bit sore from yesterday's pilates.

This run turned out to be a bit more intensive that normal because as I was passing by a friends house, she was just leaving for a run as well, so we ran together and chatted the whole way. It was the talking that made it more intense. I am not used to that. I almost always run alone.

Another session with my personal trainer, this time pilates. I have never done pilates before and it was interesting to do core strength training in a very subdel but specific way. We definitely discovered some weakness on my right side.

An easy going afternoon run while Marc looked after the kids. I wasn't feeling very peppy (haven't felt that great all week, may be coming down with a cold), so I didn't have any exceptions about how this run would go or feel. I just ran. Getting close to the end of the loop I realised that I was moving pretty smoothly and that my time would be pretty fast for this loop. It's nice to feel like I am really getting into decent shape.

I have started with a personal trainer in yoga and pilates that is specialised in back pain. She is a friend of mine and I am taking private lessons with her to work on finding a better balance between my right and left side as well as changing some bad movement patterns that may be irritating my back. The reality about my back is that I am and will be for a while picking up and carrying Lena and sometimes Matti and this is probably the biggest reason for my back pain. But I have never had someone work with me personally and try to find my specific deficits. So, it is very interesting.
