running 1:08:11 [3] 7.3 km (9:20 / km) +292m 7:47 / km

Decided not to run the 15km race at helped Marc out with refreshments instead. Too bad the course of the 15km wasn't the best for my foot, but I also have to say, I have a hard time not watching Marc run. Went for a lovely run almost walk afterwards. The tension and nerves of Marc racing always makes me so tired and then I was a bit sore from yesterday.

running 1:24:33 [3] 10.82 km (7:49 / km) +461m 6:26 / km

Today's adventure was on the Mont Ventoux and wow, this mountain is really cool! The only mountain to be seen anywhere and pretty close to the ocean, it is know for it's wind and they weren't kidding! WOW, so much wind. The scenery is also very special since not a lot of tree survive the constant wind and it's is a moon-landscape with fine white rocks covering the ground. The race must be really cool to run because you pass through so many different types of vegetation and types of ground under foot.

running 57:30 [3] 6.35 km (9:03 / km) +303m 7:19 / km

We arrived in Bédoin near the Mont Ventoux (where there is the last mountain stage of the Tour de France). Marc will run the "Trail du Mont Ventoux" 46km on Sunday. I will run a 15km race that ironically goes basically where we ran today, but we didn't know that before. It was be fun, but the higher parts are much scenic and more interesting, so I was tempted to run the 26km race. My foot probably would hurt too much if I tried, so I'd better not. The sun was setting and it was really beautiful. We felt entchanted and so grateful to have a little mini-vacation together. A wonderful French cuisine 4 course dinner followed with local organic wine. What a treat!

Running back and forth between the start of the night-O training, the car and the finish. Didn't want to run much today because I have a cold.
