Note

So the doctor called about my MRI results for my foot and they found a piece of bone that is broken off and some other debris floating around. There also a lots of fluid (probably mostly from the recent twist) but also that the tendons on the outside are torn and not well grown together. He believes that we should take out the floating bone because it’s probably that which is making the noise but also that we could do a bigger operation to fix the badly healed tendons. Just taking out the bone would be a small OP with 2-3 weeks of rehab and running break, the other operation is a bigger deal with a break of 3-4 months!! We basically decided to do physical therapy to see if we can help the inflammation (which he says there is tons of) and after the summer take another MRI to decide what to do. With all the fluid from my recent twist, it’s hard to say what is chronic and what is not... uggg.... but at least I know now why it's not getting better. Did the bone break off from my twist at the WOC 2012 banquet fiasco?

running 10:40 [3] 1.41 km (7:35 / km) +13m 7:15 / km

Warm-up for a sprint O race.

Orienteering race 29:26 [5] 4.59 km (6:25 / km) +53m 6:04 / km

A really technical, on-your-toes-sprint race like in the old days:-) Loved it! Too bad I was stupid on the easiest control of the course and ran way to far... Oops. Lost 2.5 minutes there. Otherwise ok for an old women running against those elite girls.
