Classic skiing in "Les Breuleux" with some of the girls in the regional team. It was -12.5 in the shade this morning, and never got warmer than -8 while we were skiing. My fingers kept getting cold while skiing, just couldn't go fast enough since I was waiting for athletes. The snow conditions where astonishing bad, there is only 20cm of snow and the machine that makes the tracks was pushing up a lot of dirt and grass.

Picking up controls in 30cm of snow... we have our last weekend of the year and we planned an orienteering training. Of course, Philipp and I were motivated to try even though it snowed A LOT and there was 9 athletes out of 17 that wanted to do the orienteering training instead of xc skiing, so we did it anyway. It was fine for the athletes actually, since they did a mass start, but Philipp set the controls and picked up a bunch too. He must of been out there for around 3 hours. It was -5C by the way...

Went to Bern to the Gurten to go sledding with Estella and her two kids, Sillas and Elin. It snowed a lot last night:-) No time otherwise for much else and now tonight has been stressful. Trying to get everything figured out for this weekend and the kids were a bit crabby all day, which is contageous and then the whole thing become a negative spiral. By the end of the day everyone is exhausted (including mama). Lena can't seem to fall asleep on her own tonight, so instead of packing, cleaning, organising, etc., that I should be doing, I am sitting in the hall outside of her bedroom on the computer so that she will fall asleep. Sigh.

Running during Matti's gym class. I didn't think I would get to go to dance, so I was going to run for an hour. I'm glad I had my phone with me because Marc's mom called me to tell me I could go to dance and she would pick up Matti and Lena. Lucky me. So I ran back to my bike and home. Marc didn't need the car, so I took the car to dance. Forgot to turn off my watch.

Marc was awesome and arranged I could go to dance even though he couldn't make it home from work since he's on emergency duty and got an avalanche of calls near the end of the day. I was really happy to go, it's fun and a different type of workout.

Running with Lucy while she finished her "around the lake of Neuchatel in 4 days" adventure. Amazing, she ran 103km in 4 days, pretty darn tough! I am glad I could join her for a bit of it, it was her last 6km going home. She was very happy to have achieved it!
My legs are pretty sore from last night, running fast on slushy snow makes your hamstrings hurt.

running intervals 53:39 intensity: (35:39 @2) + (18:00 @5) 7.16 km (7:30 / km) +75m 7:07 / km

Intervalles with the juniors. Warm-up, then 3 x (3x400m) with strength training in between. It was a down-right blizzard and pretty slippery on the track and cold for the strength exercises. I pushed hard because I was cold and it was fun, but I am going to be sore tomorrow.

My mom was so nice to take Lena for an hour while I went to Pilates. I was glad to be able to go. After a weekend of running, pilates always seems like it gives me the proper muscle activation to help with some aches and pains I have. I thought of running with Lena today, but I figured it would be good to take one day off of running.
