Ran the Tour de canton race in Pont de Martel in a huge rain storm. The kids ran at 16:00 and it was a downpour, so of course after 2 hours of cheering on I was soaked. It took me a while to decide if I really wanted to run, but in the end I am happy I did. I ran really hard in the whole way and it hurt! But in the muddy sections I had great shoe and zoomed by people slipping and falling right and left.
In the flats at the end a lot of the people I passed in the mud caught me. Doing some intervals would sure help my speed. I am slow.
But I was 9th in my age category and 25th overall, so not so shabby. Felt like a warrior mama in the storm. Grrr.
