Bought some Altra's at the local running shoe store here in Hood River and then ran home to my dad's house. They felt fine, but it's so hard to tell. I hope I like them in the long run. No shoes make my toes not hurt, so it's safe to see it doesn't come from the shoes. There are however lots of shoes that DO make my toes hurt because the lacing puts pressure on where my big toe joints hurt. This is why I chose these particular Altra's. Very comfortable upper, but not too huge of a toe-box, which I actually don't need... complicated.

strength 20:18 intensity: (13:20 @1) + (5:58 @2) + (1:00 @3)
ahr:85 max:131

Half-assed attempt to do some core strength. Did a lot of my toe and hip exercises I need to do, but also did some core. Not inspired today.
