10 days post OP and I have been very good about keeping my feet up and not walking too much. But today I felt like I could give some core strength and stretching a try. Felt really good to do something and break a sweat. Also, my feet did not react negatively to the increased blood circulation:-) No swelling, no pain, so yuppie!

Note

Got home on Saturday after a very painful night. I guess feet and cutting off bone is a painful process. The drive home was long and in the evening I went to bed at 7:30pm and slept until 8am. At 10am I went back to sleep and slept until 1:30pm. After that big dose of recovery the pain has been getting better day for day. Today, I can walk a few meters without the crutches to go get something from the kitchen, but afterwards things start to throb. I lay with my feet propped up for 99.9% of the time. I guess by the end of this week, I should be able to start walking without pain (always with these funny stiff shoes on that inhibit my toe joint to bend).
One day at a time is my motto for now.
