Tried to skate ski with size 43 shoes, but that didn't work at all. First of all it's too hard to balance with big shoes and also i cannot yet push off with my feet like you need to skating, so it was painful. I then did some double-poling, but man I am not strong enough to do that either.
I tried to get up a hill using the women's step and pushed off in a way that was particularly painful. Afterwards my left foot hurt a bit more than usual all day long. Even though I am in Davos, I need to accept that I won't get outdoors much here :-( It sad for me because it's probably the last time we will come for a week, since it's during school and we probably can't take him out of school next year. Already for this year, we have a whole pile of homework to do with him (which is kind of fun!).
