Last little run before heading home. It was a lovely week, even if I felt quiet bad for most of it... I had to walk a few times during this run too, my lungs were really hurting. I am really out of shape... but this is also at altitude and I walked through the forest once, because it was really nice :-)

We went into this valley with a mini little "Postauto" that we had to reserve in advance. The first half of this run is what the kids did with Marc after me. We met up at the lake. This part of the trail was super snowy and icy. I was worried about the kids and tried to write and call marc several times, but there was no reception.
The 2nd half had much less snow until I got up the to highest point. I cut up a slope because I didn't want to go around. I got lucky, because on the pass there was a lot of snow and no one had gone through, so would have had to turn around if I had gone that way.
My feet held up well. Near the end while I was running back down to the lake, my feet hurt a bit, but they held up really well. Granted, a lot of this was power-hiking, but I am glad to be out and about.

Hiking with Lena trying to stay ahead of the boys, back to the bus stop. This valley is really cool!

An epic hike for the kids. All of this was in 20cm of snow and we had to break trail the whole way. The kids loved it of course and I was impressed with the energy they had. We had a lot of fun :-)

Hiking to find the solution for a kids activity trail that is in the valley. It was super interesting, the trail shows along the way where the glacier used to come to and gave some info about glaciers. The kids loved stamping their little book along the way to find the code word. It's really well done and afterwards if you filled the book out you get a small gift at the tourist center in Pontrecina. They have 4 hikes like this around Pontrecina. Really fun for kids and motivates them to hike a bit further than probably without.

I am really not feeling great. Marc went to the swimming pool with the kids and I went on a walk. This morning we went to the library and ate at a small restaurant. It snowed last night, so this morning the kids were super excited. Matti and Marc "ran"/walked the 5km to the library in the fresh snow and sun, it looked amazing on the pictures. During lunch, the kids played in the snow outside of the restaurant making snowmen while Marc and I enjoyed a moment without kidos. Fun.
