Orienteering 20:00 [3]*** 2.3 km (8:42 / km)
I ran the first half of the cell-o course today. I'm not sure exactly what my time was since i was paying more attention to directing Matej as soon as I finished rather then what time it was. My run didn't count since I was doing it with the course designer, but there wasn't anyone else to do it with and I couldn't stay for too long. Once I ended up on the wrong trail (i had been given the directions too far in advance) and one time i ran right by a gravel parking lot without realizing it, so I ended up going too far. It was fun, and it's always an interesting challenge to direct someone who can't see the map but is out on the course.

Running 1:30:00 [3] 6.0 mi (14:59 / mi)
shoes: Asics
we first jogged to a track about 1.5 miles away from school. then we had`"bootcamp," though it wasn't as bad as i expected though still really tiring. we started with running lines alternating with doing planks while the guys ran lines. We then did 2 slow laps around the track and adjoining field for recovery. We then did a 3 person continuous 200 m relay where we each ran 4 200s. We then immediately ran an 800 faster than race pace. We had a short rest and then repeated everything. My first 800 was 3:10 and my second was 3:00. We then ran the 1.5 miles back to school.

Running race 20:58 [5] 5 km (4:12 / km) vdot: 47.1
shoes: Asics
A race at Lincoln Park. My first mile was slow (around 6:36) because all the Lakeside varsity girls were running together for the first mile and we just paced badly. The next two miles were therefore faster than my second and third miles 2 weeks ago, even though my overall time was 4 seconds slower. The hill was really hard; I was really out of breath there. Besides that, it was a pretty good race considering it's been a hard week of practices and I was really tired.

Running 27:50 [3] 3.75 mi (7:25 / mi)
shoes: Asics
We ran at a reservoir up near Lake Forest Park. There's a loop around it that's somewhere around 1200 meters. We ran that twice as a warm-up. Then we were supposed to run it at about race pace, so I ran it in 4:30 since I had started behind the other girls and I was trying to catch up with them. Our coaches realized it was longer than they thought, so we then tried to run slower and ran it in around 5:10. The next loop was supposed to be even slower, so we ran it in just under 5:30. I then had to leave, so I missed the rest of the workout.
