Reccying hodgsons leg 1 from patterdale. Legs felt alright to start with but then had to run up to the top of kirkstone pass because we couldn't park anywhere else and that killed me. Had to walk half of it

Three Shires Fell Race
Felt fine until after breakfast and then got a really funny tummy and felt awful. No idea why. Wouldnt have run normally bit was such a nice day and not good at not doing something when I have set my mind to it. However once we started I really struggled and was a massive mental and physical battle all the way along the track and up wetherlam. Nearly stopped so many times. At one point I turned around ready to watch everyone go through but then some oldies started coming past and decided i might as well carry on a bit slower so had a gel and managed to stomach it luckily. Then saw rosie going back down so very tempting to go back with her but was at the top by then so decided to carry on until three shires stone. Felt a bit better after swirl how just very empty and drained but made the cut off with 15mins to spare and had overtaken a couple of people so decided to carry on. After another couple of gels picked up again coming off Blisco and led a train of people which was quite nice. Lingmoor was tough and my legs were gone by then but i was just so happy to have made it that far as it felt impossible at the start. Managed to overtake another couple of people at the end too which was nice. Somehow managed to be 13mins faster than last year despite my shocking start so that was nice but should have been a lot faster.
