Ride 2:35:00 [3] 73.1 km (2:07 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: Giant TCR One (road)

Planned on a big day on the MTB but it didn't happen. Rode Beach Road to Port Melbourne and back instead. Got an awesome wheel from Mordialloc all the way to St Kilda - was doing about 38 - 40km/h and never had to ride in the wind. Rode through the St Kilda Beer and Wine Festival and back by myself. Nice day for the roadies.

Adventure Race race (Max Adventure Sprint Race) 2:07:00 [4]
slept:3.5

Race at Yarra Bend with Kathryn E. Started with a quick orienteer then onto the boats. We surprisingly got on the water in 3rd position out of our half of the field (the other half did the paddle last). The paddle went okay although the boats were the big and fat variety. Had to use a right handed paddle which was amusing. Missed a couple of strokes early on so paddled with the right blade going in backwards. Got out at the boat ramp after slipping on the slimey wodden planks, luckily there were no cameras. It was then onto a ride collecting a few CPs along the way to the transition where we were met by Rob P in his impressive looking baby blue shirt. He checked our control card before we did a shortish run leg. Got punished here by Kathryn but managed to finish okay. Then another straight forward ride to the next tranistion above the Ivanhoe Northcote Canoe Club (good to see a few paddlers on the water). We then did another run, a little longer than the last. Ran along a nice track alongside the river before climbing back up to Yarra Bvd. Really got punished on this section. Crossed back over the pipe bridge and rode back to the start / finish area via a couple of up and down small hills, then to the finish. We finished 1st female team and 4th overall, beaten by 3 male teams. Not a bad result. We could have won the "Premier Mixed" category however we were missing a 'token' male!

Bike tracks to Dandenong and back. Nice sunny ride out. Half way back the rain came in and along with it a nasty head wind. Had to drop a couple of gears.

Ride 1:40:00 [3]
slept:6.0 shoes: Crusty Merida

Cruisy ride on bike tracks to Ferntree Gully in time for the Street-O at 7pm. Legs felt a bit fatigued early on but worked into it and tried to get them feeling good by the end.

Run race (Street-O) 50:00 [4]
shoes: Asics Kayano 13

Evening Street-O at Ferntree Gully. Was running okay but not too comfortably. Made a bit of a route selection error, but that's the norm, so ran a bit extra than I needed to. Finished off quite strongly. Bit spent afterwards.
