Morning run in the Dandenongs with Josh. From his house straight up One Tree Hill, then to Sassafrass via the paddock, and the Tourist Road to Wal's house. He joined us for our Bakery run (no jam donuts - very disappointed and had to settle for two choc iced ones) then down Channel 10 Tk and Camilia Tk to the bottom of the Scar. Up the Scar then back towards Olinda where we dropped Wal back and ran the loooooong slow downhill of Basin Olinda Road. We then went straight back to Josh's ... he was only 50 minutes late. Legs were a little tired from last night run I think.

Evening ride in the Eliza Ranges with Dave. Up to the Humphries Road top shops, then 2 reps up the 3 usual climbs. Starting to feel stronger, did all 6 climbs in saddle in the middel ring. Last half hour with lights.

Ran the Foreshore Track to Frankston then the Kanonook Creek Trail till the end, then returned with a reverse loop. Did the last 40 minutes with my new SILVA 1 watt LED headtorch. It wasn't quite enough light to be comfortable but kept me on my toes. Missed the negative split by 20 seconds. Felt pretty comfortable.

Aimed to cruise today and run in about 42 minutes, nearly got it. Felt really good, and happy how easily I was running.

Did the same Eliza Ranges ride as yesterday but managed 2 reps up each hill. Pushed a bigger gear and remained seated which is a good indication that the hill sessions are working. Did the last hour under light.

Rode out to the Mt Eliza / Humphries Rd top shops. Did 2 x Mountain Ave, 2 x Humphries Rd, 1 x Two Bays Rd (ran out of time for 2). Battled home against a furocious head wind.
