Ride 3:10:00 [3] 47.0 km (4:03 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: Giant XTC Team

Ride on the mountain bikes from Josh's place with Rob P, Kathryn and Josh. Headed up and over One Tree Hill, over to Sassafrass then onto the Sassafrass Creek Trail. Stayed on this until Monbulk where I snapped my derailler hanger. Luckily Josh was able to clamp the broken hanger with the skewer where it'd broken and we were away again. It ran as if nothing was wrong. Rode the road to Emerald for a donut stop then back to Josh's via the road to Belgrave, bike tracks to Ferntree Gully then up the road. Good ride, legs a little sore / flat for the first half hour then came good.

Ride 1:55:00 [3] 39.0 km (2:57 / km)
shoes: Giant XTC Team

Rode home on the bike tracks. The wind was definately not favourable particularly the final 12 km from Dandenong. Hunger faltted a bit also on the final section. The eyes on the helmet seemed to work, got swooped by three magpies but they came no closer than about a metre away. Still sent the HR racing though!

Run 3:03:00 [3] 27.4 km (6:41 / km) +600m 6:01 / km
slept:10.0 shoes: Nike Zoom Elite

Two Bays trail run from Dromana to Cape Schanck with Rob P, Kathryn, Nic from SILVA, three of his friends and his cool dalmation - Astin. The trail started half way up Arthurs Seat and went straight up for 1 km. Everyone else bar Rob and I ran off and waited at the top. I thought it was going to be a long day, but as we went further a couple of them paid for the early effort! Really nice run finishing with awesome views over Bass Strait. Solid cruisy run with a bit of walking and a couple of photo stops. Very nice lunch at Mornington followed.

Kayak 56:00 [3] 8.0 km (7:00 / km)
shoes: K1 - Nelo Scorpion

Cruisy afternoon paddle with Rob, Kathryn and Josh in the canals. Got beaten by Rob and Josh in the final bridge sprint. Embarrassing! More work required. No rib pain which was good.

Run 41:00 [3] 7.2 km (5:42 / km)
slept:7.0 shoes: Nike Zoom Elite

My 4 week post BOA running ban ends tomorrow at 6am. I broke it by 13 hours today so hopefully all will be okay. Ran the Kananook Creek Trail to Seaford and back. Took it really easy and felt surprisingly good. I still have two numb toes on the left foot and half a numb toe on the right which is annoying.

Ride 1:41:00 [3] 40.0 km (2:32 / km)
slept:6.0 shoes: Crusty Merida

Rode bike tracks out to meet Dave at Bayswater. Rode quite hard for the first 70 minutes, then spoke to Dave who wasn't ready for me so had to back off a gear or two. Got attacked by a Magpie through Rowville so I will shortly be busy 'Googling' ways to prevent further attacks (any ideas welcome ...).
